Q2 Retail Innovations Report
While the retail industry undoubtedly faces challenges as consumer behaviors shift in the age of the iPad, Amazon and Pinterest, the Innovation team at Attention has been researching standout activations from brands who are utilizing technology to ensure they are continuing to forge meaningful relationships with new and existing customers.
Our Retail Innovations Q2 2012 report covers the most exciting trends we’ve seen this spring, including Omni-Channel Marketing, “Try-Before-You-Buy” Augmented Reality, Product+, Creative Loyalty Programs and Hyper-Localized Shopping.
Of interest to our team were the extensive opportunities available for brands without brick-and-mortars to create a larger impact, especially through partnerships with retailers. For example, Target’s nationwide Shopkick rollout can now potentially allow a CPG brand to reward in-store customers. Bloomingdale’s virtual “try on” window displays gave designer brands like Fendi and Prada an opportunity to engage pedestrians on the street with an interactive experience.
Retail innovations are being tested globally by brands of all sizes giving marketers more confidence as they see more and more success stories from various pilot programs. Stay tuned for our next quarterly report this September!
